Who are you anyway?
My parents named me Faisal. Born at the end of the year 1977. Just
like any other typical Malaysian citizen, I often have 'nasi goreng'
[fried rice] for breakfast with a nice warm 'teh tarik' [email me
for more info]. I was raised in a small town, Kota Bharu. Lots of
villages and greenery, which matches my preference for a peaceful
and hormonic way of living. However, with my type of career, there
are more opportunites to learn from in the city, which is why I
now live in Kuala Lumpur, the capitol.
Really? What kind of career?
When I graduated from high school, I wanted to be
a doctor. I was too idiotic then, where I listened to other people,
telling how glamerous and glorious it would be to have an M.D. Well,
I did try to work my way towards that direction in pre-Uni, but
then, I thought I was better off doing computer sciences or information
technology. So I did. I now work with Magnifix
as a systems developer. My work is mainly doing web development,
but once in a while, I do linux
administration, oracle
administration, and at times, I just spend a whole day with my good
friend Google.
.
What are your interests?
Ermm, to name a few:
PHP, Oracle, Linux, Postgresql, high-availability and ...oh..there's
always something new which catches my interest. I can't keep up
nowadays. By the way, I would love VB, if it wasn't dependant on
only one platform.
No, I DON'T have technical interests only. I also love playing musical
instruments. I love the drums to release stress and to really get
all sweaty.I love to play anything which looks like a keyboard or
piano. Also, a little bit of guitar.
Unfortunately, in sports, I'm only good (but not too good) in tennis,
table-tennis, and maybe some badminton. Others are just too complicated
for me (yes, including golf. No, no...especially golf).
Where do you hang out?
Online, you shold be able to find me on irc.dal.net on channels
#mylinux, #mybsd, #oracle. But, rarely log into IRC these days.
The guys are getting too quiet.
Offline, you'll often mind me at this massive food hawker stalls
called 'uptown'. Nice place to talk serious business, and also to
laugh the hell over some crap. Both i've experienced with much pleasure.
Normally, 10 p.m and above.
Are you done?
Yes.
Oh, thank god!
You jerk..
